Troubleshooting on FTP and file transfer

Symptom
Unable to transfer the file.
426 error (Data connection error) occurs
during the file transfer.
While sending the file, the no FTP transfer
file error (error code: 1B04H) and the no
shared folder transfer error (error code:
1B06H) occurs.
The file obtained from the FTP server of
the high speed data logger module is old.
File transfer may not be performed for a
period of time.
Unable to open the transferred file.
A file does not exist in the transfer
destination.
Unable to download FTP from a high
speed data logger module by using a web
browser.
Although the network was restored, the
number of file resend buffered data does
not decrease.
Unable to connect to the FTP server of a
high speed data logger module by using a
web browser.

Troubleshooting on e-mails

Symptom
Unable to send E-mail.
While sending the file, the no attached file
error (error code: 1B15) occurs.
A file which does not contain data is
transferred.
E-mail may not be sent for a period of
time.
An e-mail is not resent.
Although the network was restored, the
number of e-mail resend buffered data
does not decrease.

4.3 Troubleshooting by Symptom
Check point
Is the high speed data logger module correctly
connected to the network?
Is the user name specified, which is included in AD
(Active Directory) domain?
Was the FTP transfer executed specifying a large
number of files at one time?
Check that the file is not getting deleted.
Were the settings for temporary internet files of Internet
Explorer configured?
Has a response timeout error (error code: 1A82H)
occurred?
When the error has been occurred, has the access
target CPU which does not exist been specified to the
access target CPU setting?
Or can high speed data logger module communicate
with the access target CPU?
Does the full path length of the file exceed 260
characters?
Is the referred transfer folder correct?
Is the FTP site opening in text format?
Is file switching executed frequently?
Are the correct user name and password specified?
Check point
Is the high speed data logger module correctly
connected to the network?
Check that the attached file is not getting deleted.
Has the saved file only in the header line been sent?
Has a response timeout error (error code: 1A82H)
occurred?
When the error has been occurred, has the access
target CPU which does not exist been specified to the
access target CPU setting?
Or can high speed data logger module communicate
with the access target CPU?
Is the SMTP server name set with a host name?
Is file switching executed frequently?
Corrective action
• Check the module status, network connection status
of the high speed data logger module.
• Correct the setting so that user name not included in
the AD domain is specified.
• Decrease the number of files to transfer at one time
and execute FTP again.
• Review the settings for the file switching timing, file
capacity, and the number of saved files, and lengthen
the time until the file is deleted.
• Configure the settings for temporary internet files of
Internet Explorer. (MELSEC iQ-R High Speed
Data Logger Module User's Manual (Startup))
• Check the communication cable status and access
target CPU status.
• Shorten the folder name on the file path and set the
full path length within 260 characters.
• Review the settings so that the full path length of the
transferred file is within 260 characters.
• Check the transfer folder.
• Open the FTP site in Explorer format.
• Correct the settings of file switching timing and adjust
the file transfer frequency.
• Check if the specified user name and password are
correct, and retry.
• If the "User Authentication" screen does not appear
due to the specification of a web browser, enter the
address of a high speed data logger module in the
following format.
ftp://<user name>:<password>@<the address of a
high speed data logger module or host name>/
Corrective action
• Check the module status, network connection status
of the high speed data logger module.
• Review the settings for the file switching timing, file
capacity, and the number of saved files, and lengthen
the time until the file is deleted.
• Configure and adjust the system so that the file is
switched after the data output.
• Check the communication cable status and access
target CPU status.
• Set the SMTP server name with an IP address.
• Review the setting for file switching timing, and
adjust the frequency of e-mail sending.
