It is important
that tension
of upper
and
lower
threads be equal to prevent puckering of material or
other problems.
It is recommended that a test sample be made be-
fore starting to sew.
Upper Thread Tension
To regulate upper thread tension,
merely turn thread tension dial with
your
fingers
after
lowering
the
presser foot.

THE
TIGHTER THE TENSION.
To increase tension :
Turn dial to right to higher number.
To decrease tension :
Turn dial to left to lower number.
NOTE:
When sewing the zigzag stitch, it re-
quires
less
upper
tension
than
straight stitch.

La tensión del hilo superior debe ser igual a la del hi-
lo inferior, y justamente suficiente para que ambos
hilos se traben en el centro de la costura.
Haga pruebas para saber si las puntadas estan co-
rrectas antes de empezar a coser.
Para ajustar la tensión del hilo su-
perior gíre la perilla de tensión con
el pulgar izquierdo después que ha
bajado el pisacostura.
CUANTO MAYOR SEA EL NUMERO
DEL INDICADOR, MAYOR SERA LA
TENSION DEL HILO.
Para aumentar la tensión :
Gire la perilla de tensión hasta un
número más grande.
Para disminuir la tensión :
Gire la perilla de tensión gasta un
número más pequeño.
NOTA:
Cuando cosa la puntada "Zig-zag",
se necesita la tensión del hilo super-
ior menos que la de la puntada recta.
