How to Start Sewing
1. Raise needle to its highest posi-
tion and lift presser foot.
2. Pull up lower thread by turning
the balance
wheel
toward
you
and place both upper and lower
thread to the left.
3. Place material under presser foot
and
position
needle
1 cm
(3/8
inch) from material edge.
4. Lower presser foot.
5. For reverse sewing, push reverse
sewing knob as far as it will allow.
Reverse sewing is used where re-
inforcement is needed.
6. Release reverse sewing knob and
start sewing in forward direction.
NOTE :
Use straight stitch foot when sewing
light or elastic type materials with
straight stitch.

1. Levánte
al aguja a su posición
máxima y levante el pisacostura.
2. Hale el hilo interior girando
la
rueda de balance hacia Ud. y co-
loque el hilo superior e inferior a
la izquierda.
3. Coloque la tela dabajo del pisa-
costura: gire el volante hacia Ud.
hasta que la aguja penetre a 1 cm
(3/8 pulgada) del borde del tejido.
4. Baje el pisacostura.
5. Comience a coser al revés empu-
jando el botón para coser hacia
atrás.
Cosa al revés hasta el borde del
tejido.
6. Suelte el botón y cosa hacia ade-
lante.
NOTA:
La tela avanza por si sola no hale de
ella, ya que podría doblar o romper
la aguja. Solamente guíe la tela con
sus dedos.
