Step D: Left Row
1. Lift presser foot.
2. Turn the material
180 degrees
while the needle acts as the axis
and set the stitch width to 0. Low-
er the presser foot.
3. Turn the balance wheel toward
you to sew one stitch. This action
changes needle position from left
to right.
4. Set stitch width at "2".
5. Sew
row
until
needle
reaches
other bar tack. Stop the machine
with
needle
in the material
to
right of stitches. (Position D)
HOW
TO SECURE
STITCH-
ING
AND
CUT
MATERIAL
FOR BUTTONHOLE.
1. To secure stitching, turn the ma-
terial 90 degrees counter-clock-
wise
and
sew
5-6
straight
stitches. (Illustration E)
2. Remove
from
machine.
Cut
opening in buttonhole with seam
ripper tool, taking care not to cut
through any stitching.
3. It is recommended that pins are
placed across both ends of but-
tonhole as protection against cut-
ting bar tack stitching.
NOTE :
1. We suggest a test SAMPLE
be
made, before actual sewing.
2. Use
of tailors'
chalk
to mark
length of buttonhole on material
is recommended.
Paso D: Hilera izquierda
1. Levante el pisa costura.
2. Voltee
el material
180
grados
mientras la aguja actua como eje
y ponga la perilla del ancho de la
puntada e "0". Baje el pisacostu-
ra.
3. Voltee el volante hacia Ud. y cosa
una puntada. Esta accion cambia
la posicion de la aguja de izquier-
da a derecha.
4. Ponga la perilla de ancho de pun-
tada en "2".

5. Cosa la hilera hasta encontrarse
con la otra puntada de remate.
Pare la máquina con la aguja en la
tela a la derecha de las puntadas
(Posición D).
COMO
ASEGURAR
LAS
PUNTADAS
Y CORTAR
LA
TELA PARA EL OJAL
1. Para asegurar las puntadas, vol-
tée el material 90 grados en direc-
ción contraria de las manecillas
del reloj y cosa 5-6 puntadas rec-
tas (Ilustración E).
2. Remueva de la máquina. Corte el
ojal con el descosedor, con cuida-
do para no cortar puntadas.
3. Se recomienda que se use alfile-
res en los dos lados como protec-
ción para las puntadas de remate.
NOTA:
1. Nosotros
sugerimos
que
una
prueba sea hecha antes de empe-
zar a coser.
2. Use una tiza para marcar lo largo
de los ojales en el material es re-
comendado.
