Power Failure

This section describes how to take action in case of a power failure.
Documents in Memory are Retained for 1 Hour
Registered Items are Retained
To retain documents in case of a power failure, the optional Fax Kit is required.
Transmitted and received documents that are being stored in memory are retained for
approximately 1 hour after power is interrupted (provided that the power to the machine
has been turned on for at least 24 hours prior to the power failure). After 1 hour, the data
is subject to being erased.
If any documents are lost during a power failure, a Memory Clear Report will be printed
once power is restored to the machine. This report can be used to confirm the number
and destinations of any erased facsimiles.

Registered data such as date, time, registered facsimile numbers, passwords, manage-
ment information, user registration, etc. are retained regardless of the power failure dura-
tion. This data is stored using another battery, and registration of data is unnecessary.
