Handling Documents
Using the Book Scanner
Longer side against the back.
Shorter side against the back.
Place the book, magazine, etc. in the top left-hand corner.
1. Open the Document Cover and place the document face down and flush with the glass
surface.
Position the document in the top left-hand corner of the glass surface.

For transmission, the document should be placed with its longer side against the back

edge of the glass surface. If placed with the shorter side against the back, the entire
document may be reduced when transmitted.
4. Close the Document cover before beginning transmission or copying.
