4.2 Troubleshooting for Document Feeding Problems

4.2.1 No document is fed

<User Check>
• Set the document properly and check that the display on the LCD changes.
• Check that the number of documents set is within the standard.
• Close the ADF cover properly.

Cause
Reattach the paper detection sensor.
Reattach the pick-up drive belt.
Reattach the feed drive belt.
Reconnect the pick-up motor harness.
Reconnect the feed motor harness.
Reconnect the sensor PCB flat cable.
Replace the reverse roller.
Replace the pick-up roller.
Replace the pick-up drive belt.
Replace the feed drive belt.
Replace the shaft mount.
Replace the sensor PCB ASSY.
Replace the pick-up motor ASSY.
Replace the feed motor.
Replace the main PCB ASSY.
Cause
Replace the reverse roller.
Readjust the multi-feed sensor.
