4.2.3 Document becomes jammed

 Document jam in the paper feed path
<User Check>
• Check that paper used for the document is not thinner than the standard.
• Set a document within the specified size.
• Check that the number of documents set is within the standard.
• Close the ADF cover properly.

Remove the foreign object inside the ADF
cover.
Reconnect the feed motor harness.
Reattach the shaft mount.
Reattach the feed drive belt.
Replace the shaft mount.
Replace the feed roller ASSY.
Replace the feed drive belt.
Replace the sensor PCB ASSY.
Replace the multi-feed sensor PCB ASSY
(Receive).
Replace the multi-feed sensor PCB ASSY
(Transmit).
Replace the feed motor.
Replace the main PCB ASSY.
