7.3 Installing Adjustable Guide Rails for Clustered NAS
Engine Enclosure
Before assembling a clustered NAS engine enclosure, you must install adjustable guide rails to
bear it. With the adjustable guide rails, a clustered NAS engine enclosure can be placed into
different depths of cabinets.

Context
Stacking storage devices will damage devices; therefore, storage devices must be placed on
adjustable guide rails.

NOTE
If no floating nut mounting bar is available, use a flat-head screwdriver instead. When you use a flat-head
screwdriver to remove floating nuts, exercise special care to prevent it from injuring your hands or
damaging devices.
Phillips screwdriver (M3 to M6)
Marker pen
M6 screws
Square-hole positioning pins (matching square-hole channels)
Round-hole positioning pins (matching round-hole channels)
NOTICE
Each clustered NAS engine enclosure is equipped with a pair of adjustable guide rails.
