About This Chapter
Storage space can be expanded by adding SUDs to the SUC. The number and type of SUDs that
can be connected to the SUC vary depending on the SUC model. For details about specific
network connections, refer to the corresponding content.
11.1 Connecting SUDs to One SUC (with the S2600T as the Storage Unit)
This section explains how to connect SUDs to one SUC (with the S2600T as the storage unit).
One to eight SUDs can be concurrently connected to one SUC to expand storage space.
11.2 Connecting SUDs one SUC (with the S5500T as the Storage Unit)
This section explains how to connect SUDs to one SUC (with the S5500T as the Storage Unit).
1 to 12 SUDs can be concurrently connected to one SUC to expand storage space. A 4 U SUD
is connected to an SUD in the same way as a 2 U SUD to the SUD.
11.3 Connecting SUDs to one SUC (with S5600T, S5800T or S6800T as the Storage Unit)
This section explains how to connect SUDs to one SUC (with S5600T, S5800T or S6800T as
the storage unit). 1 to 24, 1 to 48, or 1 to 60 SUCs can be concurrently connected to one SUD
to expand storage space. In this section, the 4 U high SUD with SAS expansion ports are used
as an example.
