Safety Instructions

All safety and operating instructions supplied should be read before using this
product.
Warning
• Never open any covers on the base unit. Never attempt to disassemble or modify
the base unit. Electrical voltages inside the base unit can cause fire, electrical
shock, or severe injury to occur.
• Unplug the base unit from the outlet and refer all repairs to qualified service
personnel under the following conditions:
• If smoke, strange odors or strange noises come from the base unit.
• If liquid or foreign objects get inside the base unit.
• If the base unit has been dropped or the housing has been damaged.
• If smoke comes from the AC adapter.
• If strange odors or strange noises come from the AC adapter.
• If the AC adapter has been damaged.
• If liquid or foreign objects get inside the AC adapter.
Otherwise, it could cause a fire or electric shock.
• Take care when handling the power plug. Failure to comply with these precautions
could result in fire or electric shock. Take the following precautions when
handling.
• Do not overload wall outlets, extension cables, or power strips.
• Do not insert the plug into a dusty outlet.
• Insert the plug firmly into the outlet.
• Do not hold the plug with wet hands.
• Do not pull the power cord when disconnecting the plug; always be sure to
hold the plug when disconnecting it.
• Use only the specified power supply (AC adapter).
Warning
• Do not touch the plug during an electrical storm.
Otherwise, you may receive an electric shock.
• Incorrect use of the AC adapter may cause malfunction, fire, or electric shock.
Take the following precautions when using the AC adapter.
• Use only the supplied AC adapter (PSAC30U-120L6).
• Use the AC adapter only with the specified power supply voltage.
• Do not pull the AC adapter forcibly or put heavy items on it. Also, do not
modify the power cord.
• Do not apply strong pressure or shocks to the AC adapter such as stepping on
it, dropping it, or hitting it.
• Do not hold the AC adapter or the plug with wet hands.
• Do not install the AC adapter in a narrow space and do not cover it with cloth.
• Do not touch the AC adapter for a long time while it is energized. It may cause
a low-temperature burn.
• Do not spill tea, coffee, juice or other drinks on the AC adapter, or spray
flammable gas such as insecticide on the AC adapter.
• Do not wind the power cord around the AC adapter.
Doing so may cause disconnection or abnormal heat generation.
If the AC adapter is damaged, turn off the base unit, disconnect the AC adapter
from the outlet, and contact your local dealer.
