Base Unit Placement
When you are using the base unit as a receiver for the wireless transmitter, you
can install the base unit on a wall or ceiling, or place it on a table. You can
connect an external display device such as a projector or a large display.
Use the mount supplied to install the base unit on a wall or ceiling.
Install a base unit near the external display device within range of the wireless
LAN.
Warning
• Special expertise is required to install the base unit in high locations such as when
installing on a ceiling or a wall. If installation work is not carried out correctly, the
projector could fall down. This may result in injury or accidents.
• If you apply lubricants, oil, or adhesives to the fixing points for the mounts to
prevent the screws from loosening and so on, the housing may crack and the base
unit may fall causing an accident or injury to occur. When adjusting the mount,
do not use lubricants, oil, or adhesives to prevent the screws from loosening, and
so on.
• Do not install the base unit in a location subject to high levels of dust or humidity,
or in a location subject to smoke or steam. Otherwise, it could cause a fire or
electric shock to occur. The base unit's case could also deteriorate and be damaged
causing the base unit to fall from the mount.
Examples of environments that could cause the base unit to fall due to case
deterioration
• Locations subject to excessive smoke or airborne oil particles, such as factories
or kitchens
• Locations containing volatile solvents or chemicals, such as factories or
laboratories
• Locations where the base unit could be subjected to detergents or chemicals,
such as factories or kitchens
• Locations in which aroma oils are often used, such as relaxation rooms
• Near devices that produce excessive smoke, airborne oil particles, or foam at
events
• Do not use or store the base unit in locations where it will be subject to dust or
dirt. Otherwise, it could result in a malfunction or fire.
Caution
• When mounting on the wall, install the base unit so that the interface ports face
down. If it is installed facing up, dust could collect on the interface ports and
cause a fire or electric shock.
• When wiring, make sure that you do not place any cables on the base unit.
Shielding the internal antenna with a cable could affect wireless performance.
• Do not overload cables and connectors. Doing so could cause damage.
• Do not install the base unit in the following places where it may get hot. Doing so
could subject it to heat.
• Near the exhaust vents of the projector
• At the back of a large display
