Solving Base Unit or Remote Control Operation Problems

Solutions to Password Problems

If you cannot enter or remember a password, try the following solutions:
• If you have entered an incorrect password too many times and see a message
displaying a request code, write down the code and contact Epson for help.
Provide the request code and proof of ownership for assistance in unlocking
the base unit.
• If you lose the remote control you cannot enter a password. Order a new one
from Epson.
Attention
If you perform Reset All or Reset Network Settings in the base unit's menu, all of
the passwords that have been set for the Network menu are also reset and you need
to set them again. To prevent the passwords from being reset by unauthorized users,
set Network to On in the Menu Protection menu.
Solution When "The Battery that Saves Your Clock
Settings is Running Low" Message Appears
If the message The battery that saves your clock settings is running low. is
displayed, contact Epson for help.
Solutions When the External Display Device Turns On
Unexpectedly
If the external display device turns on unexpectedly when plugging the base
unit's power cord into an electrical outlet, try the following solutions:
• Set the HDMI Link setting to Off in the base unit's Signal I/O menu.
• Disable the external display device's auto power on setting. For more details,
see the manual supplied with the external display device.
