The items displayed under the Information tab vary depending on the current
configuration and activity:
•
Role – Standalone, Primary (source) Server, or Backup (target) Server
•
Primary Server – IP address of the primary server, when this is the
Backup
•
Backup Server – IP address of the backup server, when this is the
Primary
•
Host IP – IP address of the iSCSI port used for replication
•
Schedule – Frequency and time of replication, when this is the Primary
•
Status – Synchronizing means the replication is in progress
Setting-up NAS Replication
NAS replication uses one subsystem to backup the data on another. NAS
replication works in the background allowing you full access to your data.
To set up or schedule a NAS replication:
1.
Click the Subsystem
2.
Click the Administrative Tools
3.
Click the NAS
4.
Click the NAS Replication
5.
Click the Setup tab.
6.
Choose a role for this subsystem:
•
Standalone – Subsystem by itself, no replication
•
Primary Server – Source and managing server
•
Backup Server – Target server
7.
Enter the IP address of the other server (primary or backup) in the Another
Server IP field.
8.
Choose an iSCSI port for NAS replication from the Host IP menu.
