Click the Event Log icon at the bottom of the window.

Optional. Set the Event Filter dropdown menu to display:

All events
•
Information events only
•
Error events only

Optional. Click the arrow on the Date/Time header to reverse the
chronological order.
Saving the Backup Event Log
This function saves a copy of the Backup Event Log as a text file onto your PC.
The text file records the events displayed in the Event Log window.
Set the Event Filter dropdown menu to display:
•
All events
•
Information events only
•
Error events only
Click the arrow on the Date/Time header to reverse the chronological order.
To save a copy of the Backup Event Log as a text file:
1.
Click the SmartSYNC icon at the top of the window.
2.
Click the Event Log icon at the bottom of the window.
3.
Click the Save button.
4.
Optional. Change the file name or save to a different location.
5.
Click the Save button in the Save dialog box.
The event log is saved on your PC (right).
Clearing the Backup Event Log
To clear the Backup Event Log:
1.
Click the SmartSYNC icon at the top of the window.
2.
Click the Event Log icon at the bottom of the window.
3.
Click the Clear All button.
4.
Click the Yes button in the confirmation box.
Before you clear the Backup Event Log, consider saving a copy
for future reference. See ―Saving the Backup Event Log‖ on
page 190.
