Viewing CHAPs
To view a list of current CHAPs:
1.
From the Main Menu, highlight iSCSI Management and press Enter.
2.
Highlight iSCSI CHAPs and press Enter.
The screen displays a CHAP list with the following information:
ID – Starting at 0
Type – Peer or Local
Name – A user-assigned name
Adding CHAPs
To add a CHAP:
1.
From the Main Menu, highlight iSCSI Management and press Enter.
2.
Highlight iSCSI CHAPs and press Enter.
3.
Highlight Create a New CHAP Entry and press Enter.
4.
Highlight Name and type a name for the CHAP.
5.
Highlight Type and press the spacebar to toggle between Peer and Local.
Peer to peer is one-way authentication. Local is bi-directional authentication.
6.
Highlight Secret and type a word of 12 to 16 characters.
7.
Highlight Retype Secret and type the same word again.
8.
Press Ctrl-A to save your settings
Editing CHAPs
To Edit a CHAP:
1.
From the Main Menu, highlight iSCSI Management and press Enter.
2.
Highlight iSCSI CHAPs and press Enter.
3.
Highlight the CHAP in the list and press Enter.
4.
Do one or both of the following actions:
Highlight Name, press the backspace key to erase the current name,
then type a new name.
Highlight Type and press the spacebar to toggle between Peer and
Local.
Peer to peer is one-way authentication. Local is bi-directional
authentication.
Highlight Current Secret and type the current secret, then highlight New
Secret and type a new secret of 12 to 16 characters, then highlight
Retype Secret and type the new secret again.
5.
Press Ctrl-A to save your settings.
