Tie Line Options
If Tie lines are to be routed to ACD Groups, use Program 17 to set the appropriate options for
each Tie line.

Program 17 Overview
Program 17 assigns lines for tie line operation.
LED 04: Tie Second Dial Tone Option
If the second dial tone option is selected (LED 04 off), callers making a call on a TIE lines
will hear dial tone after dialling the access codes of those lines before continuing with the
extension number or exchange line access code they have chosen. (If digit translation is
programmed, dial tone will be returned as soon as the first two digits of the number has been
dialled). The tone will not be sent to callers if this option is not selected (LED 04 on).
Important! The initialised data is set for no second dial tone so this data must be changed
LED 03/04 applies to PEMU and PACU tie lines.
LED 03: Camp-on/Busy
Turn LED 03 on if callers when calling a busy station should hear ringback tone and be able
to camp the call onto that extension. Turn the LED off if the callers should hear busy tone
when calling busy stations. It is recommended to turn LED 03 ON for all TIE lines. If the
LED is off calls will not be camped onto busy extensions.
LED 02: Wink/Immediate
Turn LED 02 on if a wink start is required for the TIE Line. If an immediate start is required
then leave the LED off.
LED 01: Page/Handsfree Answerback
The External Page and Handsfree Answerback features can be optionally activated for each
TIE line.
