Chapter 2 Useful Features
Perform the following procedures in "Ctrl-R".
1.
Start up "Ctrl-R".
2.
Move a cursor to the Virtual Drive for which the Initialize is performed in the "VD Mgmt" screen, and
press the <F2> key.
Check that the target Virtual Drive is correctly selected.
The operation menu is displayed. Place a cursor on "Initialization", and press the <Enter> key. The sub
menu is displayed. Place a cursor on "Start FGI" or "Fast Init", and press the <Enter> key to perform
the Initialize.
3.
A warning message is displayed. To perform the Initialize, place a cursor on "Yes", and press the
<Enter> key.
The Initialize starts. Placing a cursor on the Virtual Drive for which the Initialize has started displays the
progress of the Initialize on the upper right of the screen.

Important
When "Fast Init" is performed, clear only the head sector where the
partition information is written.
"Start FGI" takes time until the completion.
By "Start FGI", the data is completely lost. Take extreme care to select the
target Virtual Drive.
