Chapter 1 Maintenance
The following message is displayed if an MBR disk is specified as the partition on which the OS is
to be installed in an UEFI environment, for example.
To change the disk format, you need to delete the disk contents stored on the partition in which
the OS is to be installed and create a new partition in advance. Back up necessary user-created
data before creating the partition.
Did you configure the RAID Controller?
→ For the RAID System, use NEC EXPRESSBUILDER or a RAID Configuration Utility (Off-line
Utility) to properly configure the RAID Controller before installing OS.
Did you create a logical drive?
→ For the RAID System, create a logical drive using NEC EXPRESSBUILDER or RAID
Configuration Utility (Off-line Utility) to install OS.

Unable to install Windows
Have you checked precautions for installation?
→ Refer to "Installation Guide (Windows)".

→ If you install using the backup DVD-ROM, entering the product key is not required.

The following devices are displayed under Problem Devices in Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows
Server 2012 running in a ServerCore installation environment.
● SM Bus Controller
● Base System Device
● System Interrupt Controller
● Performance Counter
● PCI Device
→ There is no problem even if the above devices are displayed in this server.

Unable to access the partition which was previously created after reinstalling OS while several disks are
connected
