Note
The function of the EP terminals is only available when Safety Integrated Basic Functions
are enabled.
NOTICE
Damage due to an incorrectly connected KTY temperature sensor
If the KTY temperature sensor was not connected with the correct polarity, motor
overheating may not be detected.
• Connect the KTY temperature sensor with the correct polarity.
Note
The temperature sensor input is not needed if the motors feature an integrated DRIVE-CLiQ
interface or if temperature values are detected by means of a different module (SMC, SME).
Danger to life through electric shock due to temperature sensors that are not permitted
There is a risk of electric shock if temperature sensors that do not comply with the
protective separation specifications are connected to terminals "+Temp" and "-Temp".
• Only use temperature sensors that fully comply with the specifications for protective
