Issue 04 (2018-09-04)
Run the following command for the modification to take effect:
Legacy mode: grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
UEFI mode: grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/redhat/grub.cfg
NOTE
You do not need to modify the a8 register value when 24 x 2.5-inch NVMe SSDs are configured. You
can skip this step.
On the OS CLI, run the following command to check the value of the a8 register (row a0
and column 9) and record the value. See
lspci -s <bdf> -xxx
<bdf> indicates the value of Root Port (B/D/F). The following uses the NVMe SSD in
slot 44 as an example. The operation method for other NVMe SSDs is similar.
lists the values of Root Port (B/D/F) of NVMe SSDs.
