1. Remove the optical drive.
2. Remove the base cover.

Steps
1. Open the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
2. Lift the latch and pull the optical-drive interposer cable from the system board and the optical-drive board connector.
3. Remove the screws that secure the optical-drive interposer to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
4. Lift the optical-drive interposer off the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
