3.4. X-axis Linear Guide Attachment

(1) Press the reference surface of the X-axis beam upper linear guide (on the reference
side) against the beam setup section (section with red lines in the following figure)
and tighten the set bolt (M4L14).
* In the lateral direction, insert the bolt at the center of the clearance.
For the procedure for clearance centering, refer to the linear scale attachment
procedure.
* Wipe out anti-rust oil in advance from the linear guide.
* Tighten the linear guide from the center position.
(Tightening Torque: 1.3 to 1.6Nm)
Apply Screw Lock(1341) on the tap side.
* After fixing, make sure that the 0.01mm shim cannot be inserted to the end in the
linear guide reference surface contact section.
The section with red line in the figure shows the beam reference surface.
Fix the linear guide with the linear guide pressed against the reference surface.
(2) Press the reference surface of the X-axis beam lower linear guide (on the reference
side) against the beam setup section (section with red lines in the following figure)
and tighten the set bolt (M4L14).
* In the lateral direction, insert the bolt at the center of the clearance.
* Wipe out anti-rust oil in advance from the linear guide.
* Tighten the linear guide from the center position.
(Tightening Torque: 1.3~1.6Nm)
Apply Screw Lock (1341) on the tap side.
* After fixing, make sure that the 0.01mm shim cannot be inserted to the end in the
linear guide reference surface contact section.
