Selecting a Scheduled Procedure for
Registration
You can select a scheduled procedure from the Scheduler storage location
on the patient browser. When you select a scheduled procedure step for
registration and then begin the examination, the system updates the SPS
status to indicate that the examination has started.
Note: For scheduled procedures to be available, the ultrasound system must be
connected to a HIS/RIS (Worklist) server configured for MPPS (Modality Performed
Procedure Step). Consult the Siemens service department or your local Siemens
representative for assistance.
To select a scheduled procedure:
1. Press the Browser key on the keyboard or select the Patient Browser
shortcut button at the bottom of the screen to display the
Patient Browser screen.
2. Select the Scheduler icon to display scheduled procedures.
3. Double-click a procedure step. Alternatively, select a procedure step and
then select Register... from the Patient menu at the top of the screen.
The system exits the Patient Browser screen and displays the
Patient Registration form. The system populates the fields of the
Patient Registration form with the data for the selected
procedure step.
4. Use the keyboard to edit or enter data, if required.
Note: Fields containing data from the HIS/RIS (Worklist) server are not available for
editing.
5. Select OK at the bottom of the form to register the patient and begin
the examination.
6. If the system displays a message requesting confirmation to end the
current study, then confirm the operation.
