Download SSD

Note: An EBLWin USB key (5094) must be used to communicate with FT1020G3 i.e.
download the SSD and software using EBLWin ≥ V2.x.x.
The PC program EBLWin is used for creating the Site Specific Data (SSD) and to download
it into the FT1020G3 Control Unit(s), the Web-server and/or display units.
Note: If the SSD is created using main board 5010 and required to be used with 5012, the
SSD file in any FT1020G3 must convert to 5012 format. Right click on "Control unit" and
select "Convert to Control Unit (with main board 5012)".
The SSD will be saved in a file named xxxxx.EBL (xxxxx is the project name).
The EBLWin key 5094 is a protection USB device that must be connected to your PC to
enable you to logon to the Control Unit, it has a unique number. The EBLWin key
identification number will be registered in the control panel event log with the date and time
stamp for every SSD download performed in FT1020G3.
When the installation is ready, i.e. all units connected and the power is turned on, the SSD
download can be performed.
Note: When a number of Control Units are connected in a TLON network, the network
should be running before the SSD download can take place.

Version Control for SSD Download

When the Download SSD window is opened in EBLWin, EBLWin checks that the SSD file
originates from the SSD in the control units. The check is started automatically when the
download SSD window is opened. It is not possible to start SSD download until the check
is completed (or timeout occurs).
If the check shows that the SSD doesn't match the SSD in one or more control units, there
will be a dialog window, asking if the download shall proceed anyway.
In a networked system all control units will be checked.
SSD Download procedures:
1. Connect the PC to the USB port (type "B") in one of the Control Units.
2. Start EBLWin and open the required project.
3. Log on to the Control Unit via the PC (EBLWin).
Note: An EBLWin key 5094 is required to log on to the control unit. This key is plugged in
a USB-port in your PC / Laptop. Make sure you have the EBLWin key HASP driver installed
on your computer.
4. In EBLWin, go to Tools menu / Download SSD... Select the control units as well
as the Display Units (if fitted) or the web server (if fitted), to which the SSD is to be
downloaded.
5. Click Start to start the download. The progress bar will indicate for each control unit
the download progress as shown below.
6. "Control unit download count" / "Document download count" numbers should
match. See version control for SSD download above.
