The data acquisition parameters, photometric values, error
information etc. of the ChromasterUltra R
Detector are all controlled or managed via Chromatography data
station (CDS). For the method of using CDS to be installed in the
PC, refer to the instruction manual provided with CDS.
In three-dimensional data acquisition, the sequential spectrum
data from ChromasterUltra R
control board of PC, and contour map, spectra and
chromatograms can be monitored in real time on the PC during
data acquisition. At the end of an analysis, the three-dimensional
data is stored in the hard disk of the PC or the database on the
network.
This three-dimensional data, by applying the functions for display
of contour map and 3D chromatograms, can be used for peak
purity check, peak component identification, library data
creation/search and other operations on the PC screen.
Besides, an ordinary chromatogram can be displayed and peaks
appearing on it can be subjected to quantification.
For the functions and operating method of CDS, refer to their
instruction manuals (online manuals) or help files.
NOTE:
In general absorption spectrophotometry, the accuracy
of photometric values decreases with an increase of
absorbance. For analyzing samples ones that exceed
2.0 AU, linearity should be corrected by using a working
curve. Also, the linear range may become smaller when
using a mobile phase that exhibits a large absorption.
Turn the power switch of the instrument to OFF to shut it down.
As for CDS, shut down the PC first and then the instrument.
Since the measurement parameters are memorized even with
power turned off, the parameters used before turning off power
will be called out when turning on power again to enable
measurement right away.
