12.9.1 Identification

Single point generic control 8 signals
12.9.2 Application
The Single point generic control 8 signals (SPC8GAPC) function block is a collection of 8 single point
commands that can be used for direct commands for example reset of LED's or putting IED in
"ChangeLock" state from remote. In this way, simple commands can be sent directly to the IED
outputs, without confirmation. Confirmation (status) of the result of the commands is supposed to be
achieved by other means, such as binary inputs and SPGAPC function blocks.
12.9.3 Setting guidelines
The parameters for the single point generic control 8 signals (SPC8GAPC) function are set via the
local HMI or PCM600.
Operation: turning the function operation On/Off.
There are two settings for every command output (totally 8):
PulseModex: decides if the command signal for output x is Latched (steady) or Pulsed.
tPulsex: if PulseModex is set to Pulsed, then tPulsex will set the length of the pulse (in seconds).

AutomationBits, command function for
12.10.2 Application
Automation bits, command function for DNP3 (AUTOBITS) is used within PCM600 in order to get into
the configuration the commands coming through the DNP3.0 protocol. The AUTOBITS function plays
the same role as functions GOOSEBINRCV (for IEC 61850) and MULTICMDRCV (for LON).
AUTOBITS function block have 32 individual outputs which each can be mapped as a Binary Output
point in DNP3. The output is operated by a "Object 12" in DNP3. This object contains parameters for
control-code, count, on-time and off-time. To operate an AUTOBITS output point, send a control-code
of latch-On, latch-Off, pulse-On, pulse-Off, Trip or Close. The remaining parameters are regarded as

PSTO is the universal operator place selector for all control functions. Even if PSTO can
be configured to allow LOCAL or ALL operator positions, the only functional position
usable with the SPC8GAPC function block is REMOTE.
