FAULT FINDING GUIDE

PROBLEM

AC mains plug not connected correctly.
Check AC plug for connection.

Replace fuse.
Signal Strength Indicator is erratic in AM mode.
AM
ferrite Antenna not extended.
AM ferrite antenna contacts are touching metalic object.
Fully extend.
Remove the metallic object.
Direction of AM
ferrite antenna incorrect.
Signal is weak.
Arrange AM
antenna for peak reception.
Set up an external AM antenna.
No FM stereo is obtained.
Band Selector in 'FM
mono" position.
Change to ''FM stereo"'.
Signal is weak.
Set up an external
FM antenna,
FM reception is distorted.
FM Multi-path distortion.
Output fevel control] has no effect on output.
