Using RDR to Mirror Dynamic Data Disks

If your disks use volume mirroring, you can set them up to use both RDR disk mirroring
and volume mirroring to obtain striped mirrors (RAID1+0). To do so, perform the
following steps, which require you to convert each disk to basic, use RDR to mirror the
disk, then convert the disk back to a dynamic disk. By converting one disk at a time,
you can preserve the data on the disks and restore the volume mirroring.
1. If necessary, insert and latch the pair of disks that contain the mirrored data
volumes.
2. As a precaution, back up the data on the disks.
3. From one of the disks in the pair, remove the mirrors from the mirrored volumes.

4. In ftServer Management Console (ftSMC), add this physical disk to an RDR virtual
