To view PDF versions of the documentation, Adobe Reader (version 4.0 or later) is
installed on the system.
Windows 2000 (any type), Windows XP, or Windows Server 2003 is installed on the
system.
To install the documentation on a workstation
1. Insert the ExpressBuilder CD (2 of 2) for Express5800/320Ma systems into the
CD-ROM drive of the workstation.
2. When the installation splash screen appears in your browser, click Install,
upgrade, or restore.
3. When the second installation splash screen appears in your browser, select the
following:
Express5800/320Ma system running Express5800/320Ma software
Release 4.x.x.x
4. If the File Download dialog box appears, click Open or select Run this program
from its current location, and then click OK. Do not select Save or Save this
program to disk.
The installation program installs the documentation. The installation takes up to
several minutes to complete.
5. When the installation is complete, you can choose to install the documentation for
a different Express5800/320Ma platform by performing steps
the active browser from step 3.

Removing Programs and Documentation

Perform the following steps to remove ftServer Management Console (ftSMC), the
Java 2 Runtime Environment (JRE) and Express5800/320Ma documentation from a
workstation.
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Add or Remove Programs or Add/Remove Programs.
3. In the Add/Remove Programs dialog box, click the appropriate icon:
ftServer Management Console removes ftSMC.
Java 2 Runtime Environment Standard Edition x.x removes JRE.
4. Express5800/320Ma Model Help and ManualsClick Change or
Change/Remove.
5. When the software asks if you want to remove the program or documentation, click
OK.
