Verifying the Network Adapter Team Configuration

1. Restart the PROSet utility and verify that:
The teams have been created correctly.
All adapters in each team have the same Ethernet address.
An IP address has been assigned to the team.
If the team has an IP address, the procedure is complete. Close PROSet.
If the team does not have an IP address, assign it one, as described in
"Assigning an IP Address to a Network Adapter Team" on page

2. In ftServer Management Console (ftSMC), select each Network Port you teamed
and, in the details pane, verify that the value next to OpState: State is
Duplexed. If not, you may need to wait a few seconds for the information to be
updated.

Assigning an IP Address to a Network Adapter Team

If you plan to configure any teams as members of a Virtual LAN (VLAN), do so before
you assign IP addresses to the teams. For VLAN information, see the
Express5800/320Ma: PCI Adapter Guide and the PROSet online Help.
To assign an IP address to a network adapter team
1. Click Start, point to Control Panel, and then double-click Network Connections.
2. In the Network Connections control panel, right-click the appropriate Team #n
icon, and then click Properties.
3. In the Team Properties dialog box, click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) under
Components checked are used by this connection, and then click Properties.
4. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box, select Obtain an IP
address automatically or Use the following IP address. If you select Use the
following IP address, enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway.
Consult your network administrator for all TCP/IP property settings.
