2. Tray Paper Settings

Tray Paper Setting on Main and Sub-machines

This section explains the Tray Paper Setting on the two machines during Connect Copy.
While connect copy is under way, the [User Tools] keys of the sub-machines remain disabled. If it is desired
to change the defaults, press [Connect Copy] that appears in reverse video on the control screen of the
main machine, and then, clear the connect copy before making changes.

How the defaults in the Tray Paper Settings of copying of the main and sub-machines are used in connect
copy will be explained.
Only the functions described in this section affect the Connect Copy function.
Tray Priority: Copier (Copier/Document Server)
• The main and sub-machines follow their respective set values.
Paper Size: Tray 1
• The main and sub-machines follow their respective set values.
• In connect copy, only the paper tray corresponding to the paper size, orientation, and type that
are set in common on the main and sub-machines can be used. To make the most of the connect
copy function, it is advisable that you make the same paper settings on both the main and sub-
machines.
Paper Size: Tray 1 (with the optional A3/11×17 Tray Unit)
• The main and sub-machines follow their respective set values.
• In connect copy, only the paper tray corresponding to the paper size, orientation, and type that
are set in common on the main and sub-machines can be used. To make the most of the connect
copy function, it is advisable that you make the same paper settings on both the main and sub-
machines.
Paper Size: Tray 2
• The main and sub-machines follow their respective set values.
• In connect copy, only the paper tray corresponding to the paper size, orientation, and type that
are set in common on the main and sub-machines can be used. To make the most of the connect
copy function, it is advisable that you make the same paper settings on both the main and sub-
machines.
Paper Size: Tray 3
