Checking SYSTEM STATUS LED

After powering on the server or before shutting down the system and powering off the server, check SYSTEM
STATUS LED on the front of the server. For the functions and descriptions of the LED, see Chapter 1 (5. Names
and Functions of Parts) in "User's Guide". If the indicator shows the server abnormality, contact your sales
representative.

Backup

We recommend that you periodically back up the data on hard disk drives. Ask your sales representative for
storage device and backup tool appropriate to your server.
If RAID System is built on your system, back up RAID Configuration Data. We also recommend that you back up
it after a rebuilt required due to HDD failure. For information on RAID Configuration Data backup, see Chapter 2
(4.3 Utilities Provided by EXPRESSBUILDER).

Cleaning

Regularly clean the server to keep it in good condition.

Important If you change hardware configuration or BIOS SETUP parameters, be sure to backup
the system information by using Backup/Restore feature of web console.
Refer to Chapter 3 (7.7.3 Backup/Restore) in User's Guide for more information.
If the system information is lost due to hardware failure, using the backup data can
restore your system back to the state before replacement.
Be sure to observe the following precautions to use the server safety. Failure to
observe the precautions may cause death or serious injury. For details, refer to
Safety precautions in Precautions for Use in "User's Guide".
• Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the server.
• Disconnect the power plug before cleaning the server.
