Installation of this unit
Removing of the Control Unit/Writer Unit
Remove the Control Unit or the Writer Unit from the
Extension Unit by following the procedure below.
≥ Depending on the system configuration or installation
location, this step must be performed with both hands at an
elevated height. Ensure that the work area is safe and be
careful not to stumble over objects or fall from the area.

Remove the four thumbscrews from the
interface side of the Control Unit or the Writer
Unit.

Pull out the Control Unit or the Writer Unit from
the Extension Unit.
[Control Unit]
1 Hold the interface side handle, and pull out the
Control Unit slowly until the upper handle comes
out.
2 While holding the interface side handle, hold the
upper handle with the other hand and pull out
the Control Unit slowly.
[Writer Unit]
1 Hold the interface side handle, and pull out the
Writer Unit to a position just behind the lines
indicated by the red arrows.
≥ The Writer Unit weighs approximately 14 kg. If you
pull out the Writer Unit beyond the lines indicated by
the red arrows, it will fall off and an accident or injury
may result.
2 While holding the interface side handle, hold
either of the upper handles with the other hand.
3 After removing the hand from the interface side
handle, hold both of the upper handles with both
hands and pull out the Writer Unit slowly.
