Step 12 Check that the four container bases at both ends are level using a level (or leveling pipe),
straight steel ruler, height gauge, and spacers.
Step 13 Insert twistlocks into mounting holes, and keep the lock heads in the container length
direction.
Step 14 Pre-mount the nuts onto the twistlocks using an adjustable wrench.

Follow-up Procedure
After the installation is complete, check whether the container bases are installed in
compliance with the container installation position diagram. If any inconsistency is found,
adjust the container bases.
Issue 02 (2017-01-10)
If the height (altitude) error between the upper surfaces of the bases is within 3 mm, the bases are
regarded as level.
It is recommended that you tighten the twistlock nuts in the bases after containers are hoisted in place.
