(2) Precautions
Precautions for use of RS-232 cables:
• Ground the shield of the RS-232 cable to a single point.
• Bend radius of the cable portion near the connector should be "cable's outside diameter  4" or more.
• Confirm the specifications of the peripheral device before connecting it.
• Do not short the FG and SG signals of the RS-232 cable.
• When the FG and SG signals are connected inside of the peripheral device, do not connect the FG signal to
the C Controller module.
• To install a cable, a space for cabling is required as illustrated below.
The bend radius (R) near the connector must be "cable's outside diameter  4" or more when an RS-232
cable is used.
For the Q12DCCPU-CBL, "cable's outside diameter 4" is 22 mm (0.87 inches) or more.
