Wh le choos ng a locat on, be aware that you should leave ample room for a wall hole
(see Dr ll wall hole for connect ve p p ng step) for the s gnal cable and refr gerant
p p ng that connect the ndoor and outdoor un ts. The default pos t on for all p p ng
s the r ght s de of the ndoor un t (wh le fac ng the un t). However, the un t can
accommodate p p ng to both the left and r ght.
Refer to the follow ng d agram to ensure proper d stance from walls and ce l ng:

Step 2: Attach mount ng plate to wall
The mount ng plate s the dev ce on wh ch you w ll mount the ndoor un t.
1. Remove the screw that attaches the mount ng plate to the back of the ndoor un t.
2. Place the mount ng plate aga nst the wall n a locat on that meets the standards n the Select
Installat on Locat on step. (See Mount ng Plate D mens ons for deta led nformat on on mount ng
plate s zes.)
3. Dr ll holes for mount ng screws n places that:
have studs and can support the we ght of the un t
correspond to screw holes n the mount ng plate
4. Secure the mount ng plate to the wall w th the screws prov ded.
5. Make sure that mount ng plate s flat aga nst the wall.
