Step 5: Connect dra n hose
By default, the dra n hose s attached to the lefthand s de of un t (when you're fac ng the back of the
un t). However, t can also be attached to the r ght-hand s de.
1. To ensure proper dra nage, attach the dra n hose on the same s de that your refr gerant p p ng ex ts
the un t.
2. Attach dra n hose extens on (purchased separately) to the end of dra n hose.
3. Wrap the connect on po nt f rmly w th Teflon tape to ensure a good seal and to prevent leaks.
4. For the port on of the dra n hose that w ll rema n ndoors, wrap t w th foam p pe nsulat on to
prevent condensat on.
5. Remove the a r f lter and pour a small amount of water nto the dra n pan to make sure that water
flows from the un t smoothly.
Note on dra n hose placement

Make sure to arrange the dra n hose accord ng to F g. 5.5.
DO NOT k nk the dra n hose.
DO NOT create a water trap.
DO NOT put the end of dra n hose n water or a conta ner that w ll collect water.
Plug the unused dra n hole
To prevent unwanted leaks you must plug the unused dra n hole w th the rubber plug prov ded.
