around the un t.
If the un t s frequently exposed to salty a r (seas de):
Use outdoor un t that s spec ally des gned to res st corros on.
Step 2: Install dra n jo nt
Heat pump un ts requ re a dra n jo nt. Before bolt ng the outdoor un t n place, you must nstall the
dra n jo nt at the bottom of the un t. Note that there are two d fferent types of dra n jo nts depend ng
on the type of outdoor un t.
If the dra n jo nt comes w th a rubber seal (see F g. 6.4 - A ), do the follow ng:
1. F t the rubber seal on the end of the dra n jo nt that w ll connect to the outdoor un t.
2. Insert the dra n jo nt nto the hole n the base pan of the un t.
3. Rotate the dra n jo nt 90° unt l t cl cks n place fac ng the front of the un t.
4. Connect a dra n hose extens on (not ncluded) to the dra n jo nt to red rect water from the un t
dur ng heat ng mode.
