Low pressure valve
Pressure hose/Charge hose
1. Connect the charge hose of the man fold gauge to serv ce port on the outdoor un t's low pressure
valve.
2. Connect another charge hose from the man fold gauge to the vacuum pump.
3. Open the Low Pressure s de of the man fold gauge. Keep the H gh Pressure s de closed.
4. Turn on the vacuum pump to evacuate the system.
5. Run the vacuum for at least 15 m nutes, or unt l the Compound Meter reads -76cmHG (-10
6. Close the Low Pressure s de of the man fold gauge, and turn off the vacuum pump.
7. Wa t for 5 m nutes, then check that there has been no change n system pressure.
8. If there s a change n system pressure, refer to Gas Leak Check sect on for nformat on on how to
check for leaks. If there s no change n system pressure, unscrew the cap from the packed valve
(h gh pressure valve).
9. Insert hexagonal wrench nto the packed valve (h gh pressure valve) and open the valve by turn ng
the wrench n a 1/4 counterclockw se turn. L sten for gas to ex t the system, then close the valve
after 5 seconds.
10. Watch the Pressure Gauge for one m nute to make sure that there s no change n pressure. The
Pressure Gauge should read sl ghtly h gher than atmospher c pressure.
