6.7 Replacing a Centralized Monitoring Module

Prerequisites
When short-circuiting and restoring the terminals of the current transformer, wear
insulated gloves and do not touch conductors.
Procedure
Step 1 If you need to replace the interface board of the centralized monitoring module in
the cable inlet and bus tie cabinet (combined or separated) or maintenance
bypass cabinet, locate the terminals of the current transformer based on the
electrical diagram and labels. Record them and short-circuit the secondary circuit
and PE of the current transformer using a short-circuiting bar to avoid electric
shocks caused by the secondary circuit if it is open.
If the terminals of the current transformer are not short-circuited before the
interface board of the centralized monitoring module is replaced with power on,
the new interface board of the centralized monitoring module will be damaged
and electric shocks may occur.
