1. Close the water supply or insert the by-
pass valve/s.
2. Depressurise the system by manually
starting an extra
disconnecting the timer from the power
supply.
3. Remove the four screws and nuts which
secure the turbine fitting to the by-pass
valve or the pipes.
4. Use needle-nosed pliers to remove the
turbine unit from the outlet coupling.
Grasp one of the impellers of the external
glands and remove the unit.
5. Carefully remove the gear of the turbine from the slot. Use a toothbrush to gently brush any debris
or iron filings. Any iron accumulated on the surface can be removed by wetting the gears with a
mild solution of sodium hydrosulphite (e.g. RoVer*) for a few minutes. Rinse the surface thoroughly
with water.
6. Carefully reinstall the turbine in its slot. Make sure the turbine shaft is correctly inserted into the
cage support. Reassemble the turbine cage and check that the turbine turns freely.
7. Reinstall the turbine cage in the turbine manifold outlet.
8. Connect the system to the by-pass or with the hydraulic system connection. Check that the O-ring
seals are in place in the inlet, outlet and drain ports. Secure the fitting with the four screws and nuts.
9. Slowly open the water supply or activate the
by-pass valve/s and vent the air from the system.
