1. Use heatproof gloves that are suitable for contact with water and the substances used (refer to the safety data sheet of the substances
used to check for any other PPE). Remember that failure to use the personal protective equipment by the operators, specialised personnel or
any other persons assigned to use the equipment could lead to exposure to chemical hazards and cause health problems (depending on the
model).

1.2.2. GENERAL INFORMATION

The equipment is fitted with electrical and/or mechanically-operated safety devices to protect the operators
and the machine. Consequently, the maintenance technician must not remove or tamper with the above-
mentioned devices without taking adequate precautions. The manufacturer declines all responsibility for any
damage caused by tampering or by failure to use the safety devices.
Do not make any changes to the spare parts supplied.
The manual contains a number of diagrams illustrating the machine, or parts thereof, without the protective
devices or with the protective devices removed. This is for explanatory purposes only. Do not use the machine
without the protective devices or with the protective devices disabled.
Switch the machine off and disconnect it from the water supply in the event of a breakdown or faulty operation.
Do not use products (even if diluted) which contain chlorine (sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric or muriatic
acid, etc.) to clean the equipment or the floor underneath it.
Do not use metal tools to clean the steel parts (metal brushes or scouring pads such as Scotch Brite).
Do not allow oil or grease to come into contact with plastic parts. Do not allow dirt, grease, food or other
residue to get deposited on the machine.
Do not spray water or use steam to clean the machine.
