15.2 SIMATIC Drive Controller firmware update
Integrated firmware takes place automatically.

Procedure: via the integrated Web server
You can perform an update of CPU and SINAMICS Integrated from the SIMATIC Web server.
Requirements:
• SIMATIC Drive Controller including SINAMICS Integrated is configured
• Web server with user rights is configured and activated
• Configuration has been loaded into the CPU
In addition, for SINAMICS Integrated firmware updates, at least CPU firmware V3.0 is required
(configured CPU version can be < V3.0). It is not necessary to download the SINAMICS
Integrated configuration.
Procedure:
To perform a firmware update, go to the corresponding node on the "Module status" web
page and perform the update in the "firmware" tab.
The SINAMICS Integrated can be found under the PROFIdrive system.
Alternatively, there is a direct link to SINAMICS Integrated in the "Identification" tab under
"Drive Controller Info" on the "Diagnostics" web page.

An update can only be performed for the CPU and not for the SINAMICS Integrated using the
SIMATIC Automation Tool.
Behavior after the firmware update
After the firmware update, check the firmware version of the CPU / SINAMICS Integrated.
You can find the firmware version for the CPU or SINAMICS Integrated under "Online &
diagnostics". In the working area, the firmware version is under "Diagnostics" > "General".
