Charging contacts
To safely transmit the high charging power, the CCS1 connector of the charging cable uses the following charging contacts:

Use
AC neutral contact or DC- when using Level 1 power (note that
this contact is not utilized for the SICHARGE application)
Vehicle and charging station communicate via the signal
contact CP
The PE grounding contact protects the device in case of a
faulty cable connection
The DC- contact forms the negative pole for DC charging
The DC+ contact forms the plus pole for direct current
charging
The PD contact enables the vehicle to detect the presence of a
charging plug
Single-phase AC contact or DC+ when using Level 1 power
