general description of the XSeries
about the TFIO module support. TFIO modules are optional expansion interfaces used to provide
additional I/O points, when the ones provided onboard are not sufficient.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Refer to the XFC
external devices. See
NOTICE – Equipment damage. An external device can be powered from VBAT or SW VBAT pins
on the COMM terminals.
The output voltage at these pins is dependent upon the external power supply connected to the
CHRG connector (J5 on XFC
to 15.5 Vdc The XFC
Before connecting an external device to VBAT or SW BAT, ensure that the device is compatible
with this voltage range. Connecting an incompatible device may result in damage to the device.
Inputs provide the ability to read and monitor signals transmitted from external devices. Outputs
provide the ability to send signals to control external devices.
