The L1 is the model 1000 loop controller of the Toshiba Integrated Controller V Series,
consisting of a CPU module (L1PU11H/L1PU12H) and process I/O modules.
The CPU module has a control operation capacity of 6K steps, and executes PID control
of up to 8 loops, and various kinds of analog operation and sequence control.
model 1000 is one of the smallest controllers, which excels in the degree of freedom and
expansibility, as it can use Ethernet as a trunk LAN, a high-speed optical double-loop
LAN (TOSLINE-S20LP) featuring scan transmission, or an RS-485 computer link for
simplified communication.
The process I/O module is available in about 15 types, including loop, analog, digital, and
pulse, and up to 16 process I/O modules can be connected to one CPU module with an
I/O bus.
Features
model 1000 offers the following features.
• Loop display
With up to 8 loop display units (LD512H) connected to it, model 1000 monitors
and operates in the same way as a conventional single-loop controller. By switch-
ing loops, one LD512H can monitor and operate up to 8 loops.
• Monitor HMI
This control station can be connected to a TOSDIC-CIE OIS1200 for full monitor
and control purposes through Ethernet, and also to a personal computer in which
FIX-DMACS or other general-purpose SCADA is installed. It can also be con-
nected to a graphics panel (GP) or personal computer through an RS-485 com-
puter link.
• PID control
The hyper PID control exclusive to TOSHIBA, a sophisticated version of 2-
degrees-of-freedom PID control permits PID control of up to 8 loops.
• High-speed I/O bus employed
Signals from a process I/O unit are transmitted through a serial bus (RS-485).
Transmission rates of 19.2 kbps and 375 kbps (high-speed) are available.
• Compact design
Mount only those units required for your system on the DIN rail. This means no
extra space and easy expansion of your system. In addition, the system can be
re-configured in accordance with its expansion.
• Process I/O module hot-swap
Hot-swap permits easy maintenance of process I/O modules.
• Various networks available
Ethernet (10BASE2,10BASE-T) serving as trunk LAN and high-speed double-
loop optical LAN (TOSLINE-S20LP) are available.
• Power supply
Each module operates on 24 VDC. With the AC power module PS591, this con-
trol station operates on 100 VAC or 240 VAC.
