The L1 consists of one CPU module and up to 16 process I/O modules. The process I/O
modules include modules for loop input/output, analog input, thermocouple input,
resistance temperature detector input, analog output, digital input, digital output, pulse
input and pulse output. The process I/O modules have a signal conversion function,
linearizing function and input/output function, which enable flexible configuration as
suited to a specific purpose and plant scale.
Figure 1-1 shows the L1 configuration, and Table 1-1, its components. For more
information on the Ethernet modules and Engineering Tool, see their respective general
specifications.
