1.6 Names and Roles of Products

Names and roles of the following products are described now.
• CPU modules L1PU11H/L1PU12H
(including terminal block unit TB521)
• Ethernet modules EN531/EN531T
(including terminal block unit TB522)
• Loop I/O modules LP01/LP02/LP03/LP04
(including terminal block unit UT5L12)
• Loop display unit LD512H
• AC power module PS591 (including terminal block unit TB511)

CPU module L1PU11H

The L1PU11H module is the main component of the L1. It mainly performs loop control
and also sequence control. With the loop I/O module connected to it, this controller can
control up to 8 loops. An IO bus is available for connection with intelligent I/O modules.
The IO bus supports low-speed (19.2 Kbps) and high-speed (375 Kbps) transmission,
depending on the speed of PI/O. The L1PU11H has a function to transfer data including
DI/DO, AI/AO and pulse inputs obtained from the field equipment through the IO bus to
the respective transmission units.
The use of L1PU11H module permits easy configuration of an extremely compact
system.
• Mixed use of low-speed and high-speed PI/O modules on the same I/O bus is now allowed
