3.1 Checking Switches

This chapter describes the switches on each module.
CPU module (L1PU11H)
• Station address setting switches
Set station addresses with these switches. Set higher digits with the upper switch
STNH, and lower digits with the lower switch STNL. Do not duplicate addresses within
a system. Confirm that the addresses are set in hexadecimals within the range of 00
to FF.
CPU module (L1PU12H)
• Station address setting switches
Set station addresses with these switches. Set high digits with the upper switch STNH,
and lower digits with the lower switch STNL. Do not duplicate addresses within a
system. Confirm that the addresses are set in decimals within the range of 01 to 63
• Engineering Tool port selection switch
Setting this switch to the position CPU selects Engineering Tool connecting mode.
Setting this switch to the position S20LP selects TOSLINE-S20LP loader S-LS
connecting mode.
Loop I/O module (LP01/LP02/LP03/LP04)
• Station address setting switch
With this switch, set unit addresses on the IO bus. Set them in hexadecimals within
the range of 0 to F, making sure not to duplicate addresses within a system.
• Terminator setting switch of terminal block (TB511)
When the terminal block is installed at the end of an IO bus, set the switch to ON.
Otherwise, set it to OFF.
Loop display unit (LD512H)
• Address setting switch
With this switch, set station numbers and display loop numbers for RS-485
transmission. Set them in decimals within the range of 0 to 7, making sure not to
duplicate them.
Terminal block unit TB521/TB522
• Terminator setting switches
These switches are used in communication using an RS-485 computer link after
mounting an L1PU11H on the TB521. Otherwise, set the switches to ON.
Set the terminator setting switch on the TB521 to ON if its L1PU11H is mounted at the
end of the computer link. Set all the terminator setting switches on the TB521s not
located at the end of the computer link to OFF.
